Conformation Photos are essential when selling your horse.  These photos need to catch the eye of potential buyers while showcasing the build and features of the horse.   Quality photos & videos have proven to bring a higher dollar on sale horses in our experience.  Whether selling your horse privately or through a sale; eye catching, high quality photos are crucial. 

Conformation photos include both sides, front, back, head and a blackout head shot. (minimum of 8-10 edited photos). $150/horse. 

1. Wash 1-2 days before.  Washing the day of strips the hair of oils that make the hair shine and can make the hair fluffy. 

2. To make longer haired horses look "tight haired" put on blankets, sheets, slinkies to keep hair clean and flat.

3. Make sure to have 2-3 helpers.  A person to hold, a person to set feet and a person to get ears forward is ideal.  If you haul to us, we can assist with this as well. 

4. Aerosol spray is more user friendly than spray bottles, as it more evenly coats the hair to avoid marks.  (Fly spray, shine spray, etc.) 

5. If a horse has mane that won't lay flat, I suggest banding it down.  Clipping ears and whiskers, hoof black, making sure hooves are trimmed, etc. is all recommended as well.  

6. Ensure nice, clean, proper fitting halter and tack is used. 

7. For video, have a plan in place of what all you want to have captured and any props, etc. you may be using readily available. 

Clients are welcome to haul their horse(s) to our facility to take photos & videos.  

We have an outdoor arena on location with roping cattle, a roping machine and a cutting flag to help showcase your horse(s).
